Scott Schopieray

Dr. Scott Schopieray is Assistant Dean for Academic and Research Technology at the Michigan State University College of Arts and Letters. In his position, he works to support digital infrastructure and methods for teaching, learning, and research across the arts and humanities. Current research areas are in ethics relating to learning analytic use, competency-based learning, and methods for conducting digital humanities work.

Dr. Schopieray has previously worked at the MSU College of Education as Assistant Director of the Center for Teaching and Technology; MSU Writing Center, focusing on composition and rhetoric in digital environments; MSU Virtual University Design and Technology as an online course developer and project manager, and as a professional web and multimedia designer.
